This location is perfect for Berkeley. The house is big and the kitchen is well equipped and food sharing was a real pleasure. It is decorated in a funky style yet good and the quilts were warm.

"Thank you and your people for the friendly time we had during our stay in your hostel. The location was perfect to visit our daughter staying in the iHouse, and we enjoyed the spacious greenery of your neighbourhood.

The kitchen was equipped with almost everything I needed even for preparing the food for the New Year's eve. The rice cooker did its job well, and I managed to role some Californian rolls. I even cooked soba (buckwheet noodle) which we eat on the eve by tradition wishing the long life as long as the soba noodle. Your staff Deborah and Mark, together with some of the visitors joined in the meal in the living room (music studio) over interesting conversations."

"Thank you for your friendly aproach and good landlordship while our stay in your house. Your house has got very warm atmosphere. We also had a chance to meet the Web Master (Chinese guy whom I can't remember his name as I lost his e-mail address). Could you also please send his name and e-mail address as I promised him to send the web site of the next SMMIB conference which will be held in India.

I couldn't see you on Friday night (April 13). Next morning (Saturday, April 14) I left the house very early in the morning (4:50 am) by Bay Porter, Therefore, I have no opportunity to thank you face to face."

"Piedmont House is a great place to stay in Berkeley! I was there a month. Rosko, the manager, is extremely personable and accommodating. I was very happy with the room and all the fine people I met there, and the house is only a short walk from UC Berkeley and many restaurants and cafes. I recommend Piedmont House wholeheartedly!"

"I fully recommend Piedmont House to anyone planning to stay in Berkeley and who doesn't need the trappings of a full price hotel. I stayed there for a week when I moved to Berkeley and it provided a perfect base for me to get to know Berkeley and begin to meet people. Rosko, in particular, was incredibly helpful in helping me get set up and answering all my questions about life in Berkeley. The assistance I received in organizing transport from SFO to Piedmont House was way beyond the call of duty. very much appreciated. Can't recommend the place highly enough!"
